So this thing where we all keep our distance

우리가 거리를 두는 행위나

And pretend not to care about each other..

서로 신경 쓰지 않는 척하는 건

It’s usually a lot of bull.

대개는 순 허튼소리다.

So we pick and choose who we want to remain close to

그래서 우린 곁에 있고픈 사람을 고르고 선택한다

" Why can’t you mind your own business? 

" You know, what is your problem? " 

왜 내일에 간섭하냐?

왜 그러는거야?

"You’re my sister. You’re my family.

You’re all I’ve got"

넌 내 자매이자 내 가족이고 내가 가진 전부니까.

And once we’ve chosen those people

일단 우리가 그런 사람을 선택하면

We tend to stick close by

끝까지 곁을 지키게 마련이다.

No matter how much we hurt them.

아무리 상처를 주더라도

The people that are still with you at the end of the day..

최후까지 여전히 함께해주는 사람은

Those are the ones worth keeping.

그런 사람은 붙잡아둘 가치가 있다

And sure, sometimes close can be too close..

물론, 가끔은 가까운 정도가 지나칠 수도 있다.
